Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan reported that agricultural exports of Pakistan have accomplished an outstanding achievement, coming to $8 billion for the first time ever.
He encouraged the committees to go for $5 billion target for the next year, showing trust in the sectors true capacity.
Khan noticed areas of strength for Pakistan in the Gulf and European markets, particularly in rice, and accentuated the significance of delivering sans pesticide items. Also, vegetable exports have flooded by 43.2% to $430 million in FY 2023-24.
