McDonald's has said it will purchase its 30-year-old Israel franchise from Alonyal, reclaiming ownership for 225 outlets that employ over 5,000 individuals, Al Jazeera reports.
The US fast food chain has been liable to boycott and protest since Alonyal reported soon after the October 7 attack by Hamas that it would give free food to the Israeli army.
