The Power Sector has recuperated over PKR 114 billion through a cross country crackdown on electricity burglary, after the collaboration of Pakistan government and military to resuscitate the economy.
More than 84,500 people associated with power burglary were captured. In month of September alone, more than PKR 1 billion was gathered from power theft criminals in urban areas like Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Lahore, and Islamabad.
The crackdown, started on September 6 in the previous year, plans to lessen the power sector's PKR 589 billion yearly loss brought about by burglary and unpaid bills.
