During Shab-e-Meraj, the Prophet (SAW) was taken from the Masjid Al Haram in Makkah to the Masjid Al Aqsa in Jerusalem on a marvelous creature called Al-Buraq. This occasion is referenced in the Holy Quran and holds critical significance in Islam.
Shab-e-Meraj is observed on the night of 27th of Rajab in the Islamic calender. It was during this journey that the Prophet (SAW) got the order for the five daily prayers (Salah). The Prophet (SAW) likewise met different prophets during this holy journey and led a prayer at the Masjid Al Aqsa.
