Pakistan, Iran agrees to defuse dispute: FO

In a political move to ease strains, Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani participated in a discussion with his Iranian partner, Amirabdollahian. The two ministers agreed to stop what is happening following ongoing destructive strikes in one another's regions.

The Foreign Office spokesperson unveiled that Jalil Abbas Jilani underscored the essential requirement for joint coordination to combat terrorism effectively. Emphasizing Pakistan's responsibility, he expressed that the nation is completely ready to team up with Iran in the battle against terrorism.

Tending to the concerns, FM Jilani accentuated that Pakistan holds no interest or want to heighten strains with Iran. During a telephonic discussion with Turkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, he explained that Pakistan's Operation Marg Bar Sarmachar pointed explicitly at terrorist camps working inside Iran.

Because of Pakistan's air strikes against terrorist hideouts that refuges in Iran's southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, Tehran directed an effective air defense drill.
