Pakistan Railways is preparing to switch every one of its stations, including major railway stations, workshops, offices, and factories, to solar power.
This drive is supposed to save billions of rupees. In the initial stage, roughly 99 arrangements, including main railway stations, nine divisional HQs, and other basic workplaces, will be switched over completely to solar power. This by itself is projected to save the department PKR 1.8 billion.
