Pakistan's technology sector recorded exports of $303 million during December 2023, up by 23% year-on-year (YoY) contrasted with $247 million in a similar period last year, monthly data on services exports by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) displayed on Wednesday.
This is most significant level of monthly exports accomplished by the sector, as per Arif Habib Limited. Official information showed that technology exports saw an increment of 17% on a month-on-month (MoM) basis.
During July-December FY24, the technology sector recorded exports worth $1.455 billion, up by 9% YoY and contributing 39% to the overall services’ exports.
Tech exports, which include telecommunication, computer, and information services, remained at $2.597 billion in FY23 contrasted with $2.619 billion in FY22.
