Pakistan’s Mobile Phone Exports to reach $5 Billion in 5 Years

Caretaker IT Minister Dr. Umar Saif on Monday framed the huge steps made in the IT and electronics sector for the last three years.

IT Minister at Pakistan Mobile Summit said export figures have seen a positive upturn, with roughly 2.5 million mobile phones, esteemed at $15 million exported. He communicated his commitment to additionally upgrading smartphone exports, setting target of $500 million for the next two years and $5 billion inside the following five years.

The caretaker minister described policies equipped towards IT's headway and electronics, bringing about the local production of mobile phones. A stunning 57 million mobile phones have been made by 35 brands inside Pakistan, because of these strategic initiatives, the minister said.
