There is an expectation that the government of Pakistan is mulling over an increase in the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs6.3 per liter for the last part of February. This potential increment comes in the midst of variances in worldwide oil costs and other economic factors affecting the local fuel market.
Besides, there has been a slight increase of the local currency against the US dollar since the last pricing decision.
Taking into account these elements, the expected net change for HSD and petroleum, subsequent to exchange rate adjustment, is supposed to be an increment of Rs6.3 and Rs0.35 per liter, respectively.
