Every one of the 737 police station across Punjab, adding those in Lahore, will be operated with solar power. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar reported that the task will be carried out in two stages.
The first stage will see solar energy system inaugurated at 350 police stations, including 40 police stations for Lahore. The last stage, set for the next financial year, will cover 375 extra stations.
