Salaried class of Pakistan paid a record PKR 368 billion in terms of income tax during fiscal year 2023-24, a 232% higher of what exporters and retailers contributed together.
Regardless of this, new budget measures, starting from July, incorporate higher tax rates and a 10% extra tax for top salaried class.
The FBR - Federal Board of Revenue outlined a 39% increase in tax payments from the earlier year.
