The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has unveiled its arrangement to introduce new currency notes in the country. The SBP underscored that these new notes will consolidate international security features, representing an obstable to those hoarding black money inside the country. The impending notes will include upgraded security components like covering, serial numbers, and designs.
SBP Governor Jamil Ahmed declared that competitions will be held in February to decide the new design of the currency notes. He added that the new banknotes will stick to international standards, intending to battle the dissemination of fake money inside the country. All perspectives connected with the launch of the new currency are supposed to be concluded by March 2024.
Governor Ahmed guaranteed that the replacement of new currency notes won't happen at the same time, staying away from the bedlam experienced in India because of a same decision. Furthermore, he referenced that the new notes will be furnished with highlights to stop the progression of phony money.
