One of the oldest texts of the Qur'an on the planet, on parchment that was perhaps made inside the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), has been found in the assortment of the Cadbury Research Library at the University of Birmingham. The Birmingham Holy Quran Original copy is at present accepted to be the oldest Holy Quran on the planet.
This composition comprises of two leaves of parchment that are a piece of an early Quranic original copy dated between 568 AD - 645 AD. Researchers at the University of Birmingham in England dated the parchment to a 95.4% precision .This implies that the composition might have been composed not long after the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) passed away as he is remembered to have lived between 570 AD - 632 AD. The composition contains text from surahs (chapters) 18 - 20 and is written in Arabic Hijazi script.
