Pakistan's unemployment rate has increased to 10.3 percent, Finance Secretary Imdad Ullah informed the National Assembly of Pakistan.
The Secretary said the World Bank reveals the unemployment rate at 10.3 percent, while the International Labor Organization marks it at 8.2 percent for 2024. IMF - The International Monetary Fund sees the rate at 8%. In the meantime, the Pakistan Workforce Survey last estimated the unemployment rate at 6.3 percent in 2020-21. The secretary informed NA that a new Pakistan Workforce Survey hasn't been conducted because of last year's census.
