In the February 08 elections, more than 50 million citizens in Pakistan cast their votes, making the elector turnout 48%, as per the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN). FAFEN's administrator, Mossarat Qadeem, applauded the Election Commission of Pakistan for leading the election regardless of criticism.
She focused on that currently it depends on political parties to guarantee stability in the country. FAFEN called for speedy resolution of any issues political parties have regarding the election results.
