Zaka Ashraf Resigns!

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Zaka Ashraf has quit.
Ashraf turned out to be important for PCB's Board of Governors on July 6, he accepted his role as the Chairman by replacing Najam Sethi.

Recently, the PCB Management Committee in Karachi was delayed at the command of the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination. The plan of the meeting included different issues including the arrangement of BOG.

Caretaker PM Anwaar-ul-Haq had expanded the term of the Ashraf-led Management Committee for three month in November 2023. The term was finishing off in the first week of February. During the tenure of Ashraf, Pakistan played two significant comeptitions - Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup.
The team failed to qualify in the final of Asia Cup while they additionally couldn't qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup.

After the World Cup, Babar Azam surrendered as the side's skipper and was replaced by Shan Masood (Test) and Shaheen Afridi (T20I).
Management Committee additionally removed the coaching staff by then-Director Mickey Arthur. They were moved to the National Cricket Academy, however, they presented their resignations later.

Mohammad Hafeez was chosen as the Team Director while Wahab Riaz was named head of the selection committee.
