Local assembling/manufacturing of mobile phones in Pakistan increased by 55% to 2.23 million units in May 2024 contrasted with May 2023 with country presently fulfilling 95% of its mobile phone demand through local production.
As indicated by the most recent information delivered by the PTA - Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), May 2024's numbers took 5M2024 total locally produced mobile phones to 13.1 million units, up 168% over a similar period last year.
